The Job in a Nutshell:   The Natural Grocers Director of Scientific Affairs and Nutrition Education (DSCANE) position is an advancement and leadership position. The DSCANE acts as the direct supervisor for the Nutrition Communication & Education Manager and the Nutrition & Quality Standards Manager positions within the Nutrition Education Department (NED). The DSCANE position is fundamental for providing ongoing support and evidence-based nutrition education/training to Nutritional Health Coaches (NHCs), store employees, customers, and the community.  In addition, the DSCANE provides Natural Grocers NHCs with a professional resource for nutrition information while promoting the importance of diet, supplements, movement, ecologically thoughtful practices for human health and wellbeing. The DSCANE acts as an educational link for Natural Grocers employees to keep them informed about nutrition, company standards and the quality of our store products. The DSCANE position plays an integral role in helping Natural Grocers improve the health and wellbeing of our communities. The Job in a Nutshell: The Human Resources Business Partner will provide full HR cycle employee relations guidance to managers, employees, and HR team. This position will partner with Regional and Store Managers within various states and drive the roll out of new HR related initiatives and policies, provide advisement regarding performance related issues, and provide guidance and coaching on all HR related matters.

The AP Assistant Manager Expense will assist the Accounts Payable Manager with the workflow planning of the Accounts Payable department. This position is directly responsible for supervision of 3-5 Crew Members. This position is hybrid on-site and requires a minimum of 2 days working from the SSC Lakewood office.

The Job in a Nutshell: The AP Support position provides accounts payable support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. This position is fully on-site and requires 100% of the time to be spent working from the SSC Lakewood office.

The Job in a Nutshell: The Creative Manager of Employee Engagment Content is responsible for the leadership and full-cycle completion of all creative tasks assigned to the Video Department, and for providing leadership and creativity in strategically marketing the Natural Grocers brand through video. The Video Department creates videos for external use on social media platforms, and also creates internal communication/training videos for our Natural Grocers good4u Crew to build their understanding and appreciation of Natural Grocers brand values.  In both of these arenas, the Creative Manager of Video is expected to have a “hands on” mindset and provide whatever’s needed to complete those goals, be that delegation and project management, or direct work in supporting lighting, filming, scriptwriting, editing, and any other needed tasks.

The Job in a Nutshell: The Public Advocacy Coordinator and Content Developer (PACCD) is responsible for monitoring and responding to proposed legislative or regulatory changes that could impact the company’s interests, including a range of issues broadly affecting retailers, the company’s ability to market and sell natural foods and dietary supplements and provide nutrition education services. The PACCD is a public affairs advocacy representative for Natural Grocers and is responsible for coordinating and mobilizing successful public advocacy campaigns across a range of issues impacting the company. This position is hybrid on-site and requires a minimum of 2 days working from the SSC Lakewood office.

The Job in a Nutshell: The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for the daily processing of vendor invoices with purchase orders using 3-way match.  Job duties include proper coding and posting to the general ledger.

The Job in a Nutshell: The Benefits and Payroll Analyst functions as an analytics expert within the Benefits and Payroll Department. This position will evaluate and analyze benefit/payroll plans and programs, while ensuring systems are set up to function as necessary and data is transferred to outside vendors timely and accurately. This position is hybrid on-site and requires a minimum of 2 days working from the SSC Lakewood office.

The SMART Program offers highly motivated good4u Crew members the opportunity to be intensively and comprehensively trained by an Operations and Leadership expert (the SMART Program Manager) in preparation for moving into a Store Manager role in only 9 months. The Job in a Nutshell: The New Store Trainer Vitamins is responsible for setting the Vitamin and Book Department for all new stores, relocations and remodels in accordance to scheduled timelines in preparation for store opening.  This position is also responsible for some additional or continued training for the Vitamin Department Manager, NHC and store staff on policies and procedures in these departments.  This position involves both setting and guiding new store crew members on set up procedures at new stores. This position includes helping with the cleaning, organizing and set up of other areas in the store during new store set up as directed by Team Lead.   When not setting up stores, this position involves working at existing stores where additional help is needed or could include working on projects at other locations as directed by Executive Vice President. All training will be conducted in accordance with company policy and procedures, with a focus on World Class Customer Service.
