Overview

The job in a nutshell:

This position supports the Operations Compliance team in monitoring and communicating compliance of company initiatives, procedures, and mandatory processes at all stores in the company. This position is hybrid on-site and requires a minimum of 2 days per week working from the SSC Lakewood office.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients:

 

Compliance

  1. Regularly audits a variety of store processes and tasks in order to support day-to-day store operations
  2. Performs daily and weekly compliance checks, with tasks including, but not limited to:
    1. Communicates with store employees directly via email and phone
    2. Review of store survey data
    3. Creates compliance checks and audits in MS Forms.
  3. Performs inventory research within organization SAP that includes regular audits of returns, stock on hand, and inventory
  4. Addresses Operations Department emails related to organizational compliance and store questions
  5. Manages and tracks ongoing store inspection information provided by Regional Managers
  6. Updates all store binders with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) changes
    1. Drafts and edits SOP materials as directed
  7. Performs quarterly audits of internal/private store folders

 

Reporting

  1. Regularly compiles data and performs reporting related to the Operations group priorities and compliance checks, including status and informational updates
  2. Creation and analysis of reports related to Store Operations projects on an ad hoc basis
  3. Consistently updates and maintains spreadsheets and other important information for store operations
  4. Manages the company’s quarterly key audit reporting process
  5. Supports Safety Department with compliance reporting and procedure

 

Operational Support

  1. Supports Operations in other initiatives and roll outs as needed
  2. Manages new store opening tasks within the company’s project management software
  3. Partners with multiple Natural Grocers departments as requested to gather and communicate information related to store operations and compliance
  4. Develop two-minute trainings with guidance from Operations leadership
  5. Manages Instacart tasks and inquiries from stores
  6. Ships materials to stores as requested
  7. Provides on-site support to Denver-metro area store locations as needed
  8. Provides operations projects compliance and communication to stores

Qualifications

Recipe for Success:

  1. Retail/grocery store experience required
  2. SAP knowledge is preferred
  3. Professional written and verbal communication skills
  4. Proficient in Microsoft tools, including Excel and Word
  5. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment and able to manage changing priorities
  6. Effective problem-solving skills
  7. Detail oriented with highly organized time management skills
  8. Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  9. Proactively communicates issues to department leaders as they arise
  10. Takes initiative and has a high sense of ownership over duties
  11. Sense of urgency in the completion of tasks
  12. Highly organized with great attention to detail
  13. Ability to take direction and follow through
  14. Flexible schedule and ability to work in a variety of work conditions
  15. Knowledge of NGVC policies and procedures
  16. Understanding of how stores operate

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to constantly lift or carry up to 10 lbs., frequently lift or carry 11-20 lbs., and occasionally lift or carry 21-50 lbs. Must also have the ability to occasionally lift or carry 51-100 lbs. with a team lift.
  • Must have the ability to frequently push or pull up to 15 lbs. and occasionally push or pull 16-100 lbs.
