    Reports directly to the VP of Information Technology. The BI Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, supervising a small team of report developers, defining standards and processes, documentation and troubleshooting of the Business Intelligence systems.    The BI Reporting Manager will work closely with executive and senior level decision makers handling requirements and delivery of reporting used in strategic and operational decision making daily and collaborate as part of the IT Management team.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee all historical report, dashboard, and information artifact development and look for opportunities to implement new technology and upgrade legacy processes and systems
    • Responsible for streamlining current data models and managing and reducing the number of existing manual processes.
    • Business Objects administrative tasks (configuration, security, inheritance objects, user and group profiles)
    • Troubleshoot existing data feeds and look for opportunities to update and/or automate processes.
    •  Lead business intelligence platform integration and maintenance, defining and building reports and dashboards 
    • Supervise development and delivery of accurate and timely reports. 
    • Develop ETL, SQL Procs and Views and implement data validation methodologies.
    • Define/document standardized technical support procedures and knowledge base for reporting
    • Work with cross functional teams and stakeholders to define reporting requirements and scope and delivery
    • Develop and maintain appropriate functional and technical documentation for core applications and processes
    • Work with various departments to assist in UAT and support proper change management
    • Troubleshoot issues to find root cause and assist with maintenance of processes
    • Work with 3rd party vendors to correct production issues and define scope on new projects
    • Work with internal team to automate and standardize day to day tasks and distribution processes

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience required
    • 3-5 years Business Intelligence experience
    • Experience with SAP BW/BI, BEx Queries, creating and running reports
    • Experience in SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS packages, Queries, triggers, ETL design and administration, Data Dictionaries, and Power BI
    • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
    • Deep analytical capabilities
    • A general understanding of retail environments and financial practices
    • Excellent documentation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
    • High degree of professionalism, enthusiasm, autonomy and initiative on a consistent basis
    • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the organization, and disseminate technical information to nontechnical stakeholders effectively
    • Experience interfacing with stakeholders at all levels
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and understand the necessary components of a solution through analysis, planning, evaluation of cost/benefit, testing and reporting
    • Background in SQL and BI development and administration standards and best practices
    • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision and direction
