    Job Summary

    This position is a part of the Training Center Team and supports the Training Center in the development, delivery, and evaluation of training to new (and newly promoted) Natural Grocers employees.   While the Training Specialist for SAP Operations will be expected to possess a strong background in SAP utilization (including ordering, receiving, article research, and etc.), they will also be provided with ongoing training to learn all aspects of Natural Grocers store operations, including Produce Department and Front End operations and Store Management expectations/processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Developing and delivering classroom and/or simulation-based instruction on the following topics:
      a. Replenishment and On the Floor Ordering processes
    1. Researching article information in SAP
    2. Researching sales history and other essential information in BEx
    3. Department Management expectations across all departments
    4. Cashiering/Front End
      f. Receiving operations, including Forklift safety and best practices
      g. Safety expectations and best practices
    5. Store Management responsibilities
    • Traveling to Denver/Metro area stores to train Department Managers and/or Store Management in need of additional instruction in SAP and store operations/best practices
    • Occasional travel outside the Denver/Metro area to provide in-person training
    • Assisting in the development/repeated creation of new store training programs and materials
      a. Develop materials using a variety of formats, including classroom coursework, games, activities, manuals, etc.
    • Other projects or tasks as assigned

    Although this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be “hands on” and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive.

     

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 6 months of NGVC store experience as an SAP-oriented Department Manager (Receiving, Grocery, Dairy/Frozen, Vitamins, or Body Care) required.  Experience across multiple departments preferred.
    • Experience in developing training materials and/or providing structured in-person training strongly preferred
    • Must be comfortable regularly speaking before groups ranging up to 25 students
    • Must be able to deliver content in an enthusiastic, engaging, and easily understandable manner
    • Must be highly motivated, work independently, solve problems independently, manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and be willing to collaborate as a key member of the training team
    • Ability to work a flexible and changing schedule (though typical work schedule will be between 8am-5pm, M-F)
    • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
    • Experience using SAP for NGVC store processes preferred
    • Resourceful problem solver

    Intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
