    Job Summary

     

    The Purchasing Promotion Specialist provides multi-faceted support for the entire Purchasing department surrounding Promotions, as well as for the IS and Marketing departments. Purchasing Promotion Specialist is responsible for Creating, Maintaining, Activating and Confirming Promotions and Conditions starting in SAP flowing down to Store POS and signage

    Under the guidance of Manager, Category Managers, Director or VP:

    • Process from start to finish all promotions including Hotline, Instore, Grand Opening, Manager Special, National Hot Deals and others as requested
    • Promotion load: Create, Load and ac article onto Promo in SAP as provided.
    • Maintaining all documentation for SOX compliance
    • Condition Load: Load article conditions provided by Category Managers
    • Maintaining all documentation for SOX compliance
    • Signs: Complete Signs Templates, working with Category Managers to ensure information is accurate
    • Scan Backs: Load Scan Back contracts
    • Work with Accounting and Category Mangers to resolve questions and issues.
    • Verify Pricing is accurate at POS
    • Maintain communication with all departments including Purchasing, Marketing, Information Systems,
    • Promotion Reporting as requested.
    • Process New Store Hot Deal Promotions: Working with Category Managers on article mix
    • Working with Information Systems to Hot Fix Pricing as needed
    • Verify pricing is accurate at POS
    • Create and Maintain Promotional Calendars: Work with Category Managers and Marketing to establish due dates for all Company Wide Promotions
    • Assist Marketing with future promo initiatives and timelines
    • Prioritize, Process and Resolve Helpdesk tickets sent by stores in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Cross Train with Data Integrity Team to provide back up when needed.
    • Work closely with the Data Integrity Group to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner, such as Purchase Order Creation.
    • Maintain Current Basecamp Tasks
    • Work with Purchasing Data and Analysis Manager to identify areas of opportunity in the Promotion process, and help create/implement solutions
    • Any other tasks or projects as assigned

     Although this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be “hands on” and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive. The Data Integrity Team collectively supports the company 7 days a week. Work schedule is based on company needs which may include evenings and weekends.

    Education and Experience

    • Must have experience in SAP and NGVC store processes
    • Must be organized and detail oriented
    • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and meet assigned deadlines
    • Must be critical thinkers with a knack for troubleshooting and analysis
    • Must be committed to data accuracy and integrity
    • Must have a minimum intermediate level of Excel/Microsoft Office skills.
