The Business Reporting Analyst will be responsible for day to day operations for reporting and analytics. The requirements include, but are not limited to the development new reports, updating reports, auditing financial report data, analyzing data and providing opinions, and working with customers to meet their general reporting needs.

The duties also include understanding and helping to determine priorities for the request queue, creating and tracking requests, and providing estimates on small projects.


  • Takes requests and works with an individual or groups on scope and estimates
  • Assists in managing the queue of priorities, weighs in on the importance of each, and makes recommendations on the order in which to perform these tasks.
  • Acts as a change agent, improving processes and documentation
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in the business of NGVC
  • Requires experience with basic accounting and financial reporting for a publicly traded company. Sox skills are a plus
  • Is responsible either fully or in some part for the QA and accuracy of distributed and on demand reporting systems
  • Light project management and assessment duties


Technical Skills


Hands on experience

  • Maintaining SAP BO Universes
  • Designing, creating and maintaining SAP BO standard reports and or standalone BO framework
  • SQL Server TSQL in support of reporting solutions


Additional technical skills

  • Conversion of Crystal and BO reports to MS BI technologies
  • Advanced Excel PowerPivot and Excel as an authoring tool for Online solutions
  • Use of MS SQL Server Analysis Services tabular modeling (DAX) for reporting
  • Development of visual information delivery development with Power BI or similar tools

  • 5+ years of work experience in reporting, analyses, and QA testing
  • Industry experience with publicly traded companies
  • Experience with Sox compliance as it pertains to reporting and Sox Controls
  • Familiarity with key financial statements
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles - GAAP is a plus
  • Ability to perform analysis and research of critical reporting areas at the transaction level
  • Ability to work with key customers and senior management on reporting requests
  • Ability to deal professionally with external auditors and a strong understanding of the audit process
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail, this is a key component for success
  • Strong analytical, organizational and research abilities
  • Self-directed individual who is a team player
  • Successfully manage small projects
