Overview

Job Summary

 

The Training Center Assistant Manager assists in the development, implementation and delivery of all training classes/simulations conducted as part of the Training Center Curriculum. The Training Center Assistant Manager is also responsible, in partnership with the Training Center Manager and Training Department Manager, for monitoring Training Center instruction and delivery to ensure that the training is effective and efficient and creating a learning experience for participants that fosters learning and is consistent with our 5 Founding Principles.

Responsibilities

 

Key Responsibilities include the following essential functions, but are not limited to:

  • Assists in management of all operations related to the company Training Center, including simulated store environment, classroom areas, and live training occurring within Denver/Metro area stores
  • Designs instruction on company processes, including store operations and utilization of SAP
  • Assists in management team of Training Specialists, who deliver instruction to newly promoted and newly hired Store and Department Managers, reporting any areas of concern to the Training Center Manager and/or Training Department Manager
  • Audits instruction provided by Training Specialists to ensure their delivery is accurate to company processes and is presented in an engaging and accessible manner
  • Collaborates with Training Center Manager, Training Department Manager and Operations Management to refine Training Center operations, ensuring they are in optimal alignment with company needs and goals
  • Collaborates with SAP/Data Infrastructure teams to maintain and optimize Training Simulation SAP Environments used by Trainees
  • Collects data related to trainee feedback and work with Training Center Manager and Training Department Manager to utilize that data to modify/inform future instruction
  • Assists in the development and implementation of assessments to measure Trainee achievement and understanding
  • Monitors Trainee achievement through ongoing assessments, devising strategies to bridge learning gaps when they emerge
  • Assists in management of Training Center instructional calendar, including organization of courses and allocation of Trainer resources
  • Monitor scheduling and transportation for Trainees, diagnosing any perceived problems promptly and communicating those issues to the Training Manager
  • Delivers instruction to Trainees in simulated and live working environments
  • Regularly interacts with Training Specialists and Trainees to develop teamwork and enthusiasm for everyone at the Training Center

Qualifications

Education, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year demonstrated ability developing and delivering training in a formal training setting (both classroom and on-the-job formats) required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience developing and analyzing needs assessments, developing feedback and assessment tools and providing effective feedback to trainee after analyzing outcomes.
  • Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated application of Adult Learning Theory and instructional development methodology required (ex. ADDIE) Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook required.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook required.
  • Ability to effectively articulate the transfer of knowledge to others in written and verbal form.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team, as required. Ability to problem solve- and work collaboratively with a strong solution driven mind-set.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver effective results. Is highly organized with great attention to detail and follow through. Able to multi-task effectively and deal with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS) experience a plus.
