The Job in a Nutshell:
The Safety & Security Administrator is responsible for supporting Natural Grocers' initiatives and assists team leaders in video review, incident investigation/closure, and recommends strategy regarding safety and security of the Natural Grocers locations.

The base hours for this position are 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Sunday through Thursday.

Due to the dynamic nature of the Safety & Security industry some flexibility in scheduling will be necessary to accommodate special projects and emergency response. This position does not involve any in-store security or loss prevention duties.

Main Ingredients:

1. Understands and maintains strict compliance with the law and NGVC policies concerning safety, security, and loss prevention.
2. Resolves incidents involving safety, security, and loss prevention in the incident management tool.
3. Confirms gathered information by exporting and preserving video evidence.
4. Provides incident documentation and video footage of loss causing and injury incidents to upper management and peer departments.
5. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with other departments including but not limited to Operations, Human Resources, Facilities, and Finance
6. Assists Loss Prevention Manager in the surfacing, investigation, and resolution of loss causing incidents.
7. Participates in incident review of customer and Crew accidents and injuries.
8. Utilizes critical thinking skills and root cause analysis to effectively and timely resolve requests and investigations.
9. Ensures security cameras are functional and report repair needs to management.
10. Reviews security footage as needed.
11. Maintains department logs and reports.
12. Documents all Safety, Security, and Loss Prevention incidents as required.
13. Maintains extreme confidentiality of all departmental, confidential, or proprietary information.
14. This position will have minimal travel withing home market when necessary.
15. This position reports to the Loss Prevention Manager and supports the Safety and Security Department.

Recipe for Success:

1. High School diploma and GED required
2. 1 year’s previous retail loss prevention, asset protection, or Natural Grocers experience preferred
3. Basic knowledge of progressive loss prevention methods and shrink strategies
4. Must possess a friendly and professional demeanor
5. Must be detail oriented
6. Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing
7. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all situations
8. Ability to operate and troubleshoot network camera systems
9. Able to work independently and make quick, sound decisions
10. Able to solve difficult situations
11. Must be able to implement solutions and resolution from both a local and global perspective
12. Must be available to work the set schedule for this role: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Sunday through Thursday.
13. Intermediate experience with standard PCs and business software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.) required
14. Experience with video editing and file formatting preferred
