Job in a Nutshell: 

The Vitamin Order Puller position is responsible for processing and packing orders at the Natural Grocers Distribution Center in Golden.  Duties include receiving, inspection and put-away of inbound products; maintaining accurate inventory and documentation; processing, filling and staging orders accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients:

 

Receiving

  • Promptly transfer inbound orders from receiving to the vitamin / supplements area for processing
  • Receive, unpack, and examine goods for any damage or expiration dates
  • Isolate any damaged or expired goods; report to vendor and purchasing for disposition
  • Process any return orders as necessary
  • Check packing slips and purchase orders for accuracy and report any discrepancies to purchasing immediately
  • Enter goods into SAP using RF gun
  • Complete necessary paperwork, and send it to corporate office for processing
  • Process purchase orders from stores to create outbound pick lists via SAP
  • Fill orders for stores using RF gun; pack orders safely for shipping
  • Clearly mark finished packages with store identification and stage packages in proper locations
  • Complete and maintain records of outbound delivery numbers

 

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain good housekeeping and records in the vitamin and supplements department
  • Maintain receiving logs, outbound delivery logs, and housekeeping logs
  • Provide clear and professional communication with corporate office, stores, managers, coworkers and vendors at all times
  • Perform all operations in a manner that promotes safety
  • Must adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • May be assigned to other warehouse tasks such as inventory and bulk order pulling

 

 

Although this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be “hands on” and do whatever it takes to get the job done and help the company thrive.

Qualifications

Recipe for Success:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent is required
  2. Basic computer skills required; written communication and ability to learn SAP is required
  3. Ability to follow written work instructions as provided is required
  4. Prior order pulling / warehouse experience preferred
  5. Previous forklift experience preferred; must be certified by NGVC
  6. Good attention to detail required; accuracy and thoroughness is a must
  7. Ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment
  8. Flexibility with working hours to accommodate warehouse needs
  9. Able to work in seasonally warm or cool environment
  10. Able to assist in other departments as needed
  11. Previous experience with inventory required. Experience with SAP a plus
  12. Must have current Colorado Driver’s License and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

Must have the ability to occasionally push or pull up to 30 lbs.

Must be able to constantly use the computer for data entry and use of mouse.

Must be able to constantly sit, use fine motor manipulations, and reach outward for the duration of the work shift.

Must be able to frequently grip, bend, twist, and turn.

Must be able to occasionally walk, stand, squat, kneel, and reach above chest as needed.

 

Environmental Requirements:

Must be able to work occasionally with cold, heat, sharp tools and equipment, noise, contact stress, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.
