Overview

The Job in a Nutshell:

The SAP Business System Analyst will apply analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to support core organizational functions and business processes. Also, the Analyst will ensure effective monitoring of the SAP system and production support queue. This position requires a strong understanding of technical systems, with the ability to independently research, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues. The SAP Business Analyst is responsible for evaluating, designing and implementing SAP (Systems Applications and Products) software programs for businesses in order to help them manage such areas as inventory, sales, production and marketing. Through this understanding they will be able to lead solutions that incorporate multiple workstreams and systems outside SAP.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients:

  1. Set up and configure new stores in SAP and SQL
  2. Document existing processes
  3. Provide Tier 3 support for SAP and Winshuttle
  4. Investigates POS, EDI, Banking and BW interface issues
  5. Complete work relating to SOX controls
  6. Works with third party vendors to provide service and support
  7. Ability to drive complex SAP projects
  8. Production and end user support of the SAP environment
  9. Collaborate with the Consulting company Enterprise Solution Architect in understanding and documentation of NGVC landscape
  10. Ownership of the solution architecture of multiple processes spanning multiple systems including those external to SAP
  11. Development and execution of test cases including issue resolution and defect management
  12. Understanding of detailed business processes utilizing the SAP application
  13. Ability to translate business knowledge into technical aspects to support and improve the overall SAP solution
  14. Ownership of systems and business areas from change requests to technical solution approvals

Qualifications

Recipe for Success:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Business System Administration preferred, High School diploma or GED required
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience working with business systems required
  3. Minimum of 3 years of SAP experience required
  4. Understanding of gathering business requirements
  5. Strong attention to detail including excellent organizational skills
  6. Must be self- starter who understands and solves problems with minimal supervision
  7. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical team members
  8. Experience working in a SOX compliance environment and meeting SOX standards

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to occasionally push or pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to constantly use the computer for data entry and use of mouse.
  • Must be able to constantly sit, use fine motor manipulations, and reach outward for the duration of the work shift.
  • Must be able to frequently grip, bend, twist, and turn.
  • Must be able to occasionally walk, stand, squat, kneel, and reach above chest as needed.

 

Environmental Requirements:

  • Must be able to work occasionally with cold, heat, sharp tools and equipment, noise, contact stress, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.
