    The Purchasing Buyer & Ordering Analyst will be responsible for central merchandise buying and purchase order analysis for the company. The position will help oversee all areas of merchandise ordering and assist in process improvement for all supporting processes including stores ordering/replenishment, warehouse flow-through ordering, and centralized ordering. The position will also provide tier 2 support for EDI and advanced SAP ordering functions.   

    Responsibilities

    • Plan order, create and analyze all central orders.
    • Work on analysis for Promotions and events
    • New store orders
    • New items and void fill – plus outs
    • Buy out opportunities
    • Consolidate all Distribution Center flow-through orders weekly and manage the resulting central purchase orders
    • Work with the Distribution Center to optimize flow-through processes for merchandise orders
    • Support EDI
    • Setup and configuration
    • Support of vendors with time sensitive deadlines
    • Review and manage all open merchandise purchase orders in SAP including analysis of PO aging reports and ongoing adjustments of ordering parameters
    • Work with Training and Store Operations to optimize store ordering processes
    • General troubleshooting
    • Any other special projects or tasks as requested.

    Qualifications

    • Must be highly organized, self-motivated and detail oriented
    • Must have exceptional interpersonal, communication and follow through skills
    • 1-2 years- experience with SAP and working in a purchasing environment preferred
    • Basic knowledge of SQL and/or SAP Business Object preferred.
    • Must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline- oriented environment
    • Must have a minimum of intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, especially working with Advanced Excel spreadsheets, formulas etc.
    • Comfortable collaborating with different work groups, including, Purchasing, Accounting, Finance, Operations and Store Employees
