    Job Summary

     

    The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for bringing social media ideas to life through real time interaction and social monitoring. Your role is to implement online marketing strategies through social media accounts. Ultimately, you will help to grow our web traffic, foot traffic, customer engagement metrics that will lead to more sales. The successful candidate will have a strong and intimate knowledge of the current social media landscape and trends. They also have a passion for content development and writing. This person should also have a desire to constantly learn to stay on top of the rapidly changing world of social media marketing. A plus to a candidate that is passionate about the natural foods industry.

    Responsibilities

    Key responsibilities include the following essential functions, but are not limited to:

    • Engage with online community and proactively respond to all brand related conversations to build personal brand relationships with community members and customers.
    • Research audience/customer preferences and discover current trends and pop culture.
    • Research and stay up-to-date on all changes to major social media networks to ensure maximum effectiveness.
    • Works closely with local and national bloggers to increase social engagement levels.
    • Utilizes social media tools to understand current conversations about Natural Grocers and use the information gathered to create new social opportunities driving customer traffic.
    • Monitor ongoing social and cultural conversation to identify and implement “real time” opportunities to
    • Amplify Natural Grocer’s voice.
    • Work with store representatives and Social Media Director to execute social media campaigns
    • Work cross functionally with PR and Social Media team to develop social media campaigns and ideas,implementing them through social channels.
    • Develop extensive monthly social media reports that reflect thorough analytics, effectiveness of posts, engagement levels,  promotions, etc.
    • Work closely with product teams to develop social media strategies for consumer goods.
    • Travel to new store openings to provide marketing support. 20% travel.

    Qualifications

    Education, Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required with concentration in advertising, marketing, or communications.
    • Experience developing content for social media channels including, but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram,   Pinterest and Twitter. 
    • 1-2 years of experience within a social media team for a brand or agency preferred.
    • Experience integrating social media efforts into broader media and marketing strategies.
    • Must be an expert at updating (non-programming related), navigating and utilizing each of the major social channels, including understanding the terms of use and best practices for each.
    • Experience in managing consumer facing conversations, leveraging social media.
    • Active learner and forward thinker exceling at identifying evolving media trends and understanding Natural Grocer’s role in the future.
    • Thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced, collaborative environment.
    • Must be a flexible individual, creative thinker and problem solver, accustomed to working in teams.
    • Must have ability to prioritize projects, stay organized and be laser focused.
    • Extremely strong written and oral communications skills
